About Us

Catbird Media is a small publishing house located in Queensland, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We are a team of women specialising in our own brand of quirky photographic books, some educational, some more whimsical, but always with a good story behind the words, and written and presented for children up to the age of about 8. 

'Scuttlebutt' is our ongoing series of non-fiction educational photographic nature books for young children and is proving to be an excellent aid in the classroom. There are samples of these titles here on the website.

'Rusty' is our very popular series of illustrated/photographic books, all with a special message beautifully told for our young readers. 

'Bridie and Scout' is a very quirky series about the fun and magical adventures of a couple of starfish. The series has a strong environmental theme, with beautiful photographic nature backgrounds and fabulous mixed media characters which bring this book to life. (In production.)

On occasion, we provide services for authors who wish to self-fund their own picture books for children.

We also offer services in all corporate stationery needs (business cards, flyers, menus, posters, booklets etc.) and advertising signage (noticeboards, real estate, business, magnetic car signage etc.).
